Sikaku is a popular Japanese puzzle game. You are given a grid that contains many squares. Some of these have numbers written in.

The aim is to divide the grid into rectangles, with each rectangle containing the number of cells specified by a number given on the grid.

Here is a sikaku puzzle for you to enjoy:

To play: simply print off the puzzle and define the boundaries. Then check your answer against the solution. Our solution uses colour to denote the shape of each rectangle in the solution.

Each rectangle in the solution contains one number, which corresponds to the size of that rectangle. Each puzzle has only solution.
